What’s Next?
Posted in New Music | Tagged Jeremy, Larson, Sucre |So, I realize that this blog has become very much a hub for Sucré news these past few months. I hope that’s ok. I put a lot of my life into this album, and it really is my focus nowadays. But we have an album that is finished, and a lot of the work has been done already. So, what’s next?
As soon as I get home, I need to catch up some daily life stuff first- spend time with my wife, spank my dogs, etc. But I’m also feeling the itch to start writing my own stuff again. (that bit about the dogs was a joke) After “They Reappear” was released, I felt very lost and wasn’t sure what to do next with my music. So I took a year off. With every day that goes by without writing a song, I get a clearer and clearer idea of what I’d like to do with my next album. This is very exciting for me, because I will admit right now that I wasn’t entirely sure there was going to be a next album- until now. That is probably not as dramatic as it sounds, I would continue doing music of course, but I wasn’t sure what shape it would take. So, I’m feeling more inspired than ever to start making some new music. I can see it all in my head, and I don’t think this album will take me nearly as long as the last one. I just want to write the greatest songs I’ve ever written, and keep the focus on that.

New Fort Christmas Song! (Free Download)

I thought I'd give you all an early Christmas present. Here's a new Fort Christmas song. Actually, I wrote it shortly after Elsie and I's wedding, so it's not that new anymore. I wrote it so I would always remember everything about our wedding day. I think it captures a lot of the feelings and thoughts that I had at the time. New Music (Audio Clip)
Posted in New Music |Short clip of a song I've been working on:
I know, that's a very short clip. The song is basically done, and I'm having a very tough time trying to start the next one. I'm starting to wonder if I really have enough songs in me for an EP…
It looks like I just have a few short sessions left with Brooke, and the live DVD will be done! I'll post a trailer soon. Not sure about a release date, but it will be in the next month or two. Thanks for reading.
